PoNS is an innovative, noninvasive neuromodulation device that delivers gentle electrical stimulation to the tongue while patients participate in targeted physical rehabilitation. This approach is designed to support neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to adapt, reorganize, and develop new neural connections.
At TRYAbility, our clinicians incorporate PoNS into individualized neurological rehabilitation programs to support walking, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
Regulatory status
FDA Authorization
PoNS is FDA-authorized for short-term treatment of gait deficits associated with mild to moderate symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS), in adults aged 22 and older, as an adjunct to supervised therapeutic exercise.
- FDA-authorized applications: Multiple sclerosis (MS) and chronic stroke (CVA), for the specific gait deficits and patient populations described in the device labeling.
